Colleagues from Stockport solicitors, Gorvins LLP, will be putting their best feet forward in a charity challenge to walk, hike or run 10,000 km in 2022, equivalent to the distance from Stockport to New York and back.
Their efforts are to raise money for two charities, Motor Neurone Disease Association and the Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital. Both charities were chosen in support of members of the team at Gorvins who have been helped by those charities and because of the live-changing work that they do.
Each year Gorvins LLP raises money for two selected charities, chosen by employees and supported across the business with a range of charity activities.
Rowan Uren, Senior Associate Solicitor and Chair of Gorvins’ Charity Committee said:
“Raising money for worthwhile causes has always been an integral part of the culture at Gorvins.
“Everyone always gets fully behind the charities we support and our 10,000km challenge is already getting competitive on the weekly leader boards! The challenge is all good fun, and I hope it helps us to raise much needed funds, so our two charities can continue saving lives at Wythenshawe Hospital, and supporting those with Motor Neurone Disease.”
Donations to Gorvins’ 2022 fundraising efforts can be made via their JustGiving page.
