Stockport young professionals network, Future Stockport, is hosting its first breakfast seminar on the topic ‘Managing Difficult Conversations.’
The session, sponsored and hosted by Gorvins Solicitors at their office in Stockport town centre, will be led by Catherine Brown, a former barrister turned coach. Using her knowledge from both negotiations and the courtroom, Catherine shares her wisdom on how to deal with matters many would avoid.
As a young professional, it can be difficult to find the courage to speak up for yourself or having a difficult conversation with someone you manage, a client, or a colleague. Catherine joins Future Stockport to share some of the techniques she has learnt over the years, including:
- Motivating yourself to have the conversation
- Clarifying your purpose
- Preparation
- Delivering the message in a simple but effective way
The event will take place from 8am to 10.30am on Thursday 18th January, and follows Future Stockport’s successful launch event in November 2023, which welcomed more than 60 young professionals from businesses across the borough come together for an informal evening of networking at Alfredo’s Social in the town centre.
The session is free to attend, however, places are limited, so be sure to book a ticket online to register your interest.
