Following its success this summer, shoppers and visitors to Stockport will be able to enjoy free Sunday parking at Merseyway car park until the end of March 2016.
With a wide range of shops, events and visitor attractions on offer in the town centre, Stockport Council is pleased to announce this move that will give visitors the opportunity to come and browse at their leisure, both in the lead up to Christmas and well into the New Year.
In announcing the decision Cllr Martin Candler, Executive Member for Supporting Places said
“We are very pleased to be able to continue offering free parking at Merseyway every Sunday until the end of March 2016.
“Since the free Sunday parking at Merseyway began we have seen many people coming to the town centre to shop, visit leisure attractions and discover what is on offer. I would encourage everyone to take this opportunity to come and visit Stockport.”
