Totally Stockport is providing free parking in Stockport Town Centre from June 1st for an initial period of 3 months.
Part of Stockport’s Business Improvement District’s (BID) remit is to address issues that have been raised that may be impacting on the numbers of people coming in to enjoy the amenities within the town centre.
The BID’s Totally Stockport team are working on ways to attract more shoppers and visitors more regularly which is why we are introducing Totally Free Parking, making it easier for people to park. No more worries about finding the right change or rushing back after two hours in case your ticket has expired.
Anyone can apply for a Totally Free Parking Pass that is valid from 1stJune to 31stAugust 2018 and allows car parking for free on the 6thFloor of Heaton Lane Car Park. Cars will need to park in designated spaces only and for a maximum period of 4 hours on any one day. We have 75 spaces available which will of course be on a first-come-first-served basis.
This is a great way to attract more shoppers and visitors into the heart of Stockport town centre, with easy access to all the great shops, visitor attractions, restaurants and bars but it is important to note that Totally Free Parking is only available between the hours of 06.00 (6am) and 18.00 (6pm).
To get your free parking in Stockport pass, apply online at www.totallyfreeparking.co.uk
To qualify for free parking, your Parking Pass must be clearly displayed in your front windscreen but should be placed so as not to cause any obstruction to the driver’s view of other road users or to the road itself.

“We would like as many people as possible to benefit from Totally Free Parking. Signage will provide direction to the allotted car parking spaces and the stairwell leading to the 4thfloor will provide additional directions but please check to the websites as conditions have been applied.”
