Romiley’s Forum Theatre has been granted the use of the Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre’s ‘See It Safely’ mark in recognition of its Covid-safe practices.
The See It Safely mark certifies that the theatre is complying with the latest Government and industry Covid-19 guidelines and best practices to ensure the safety of both staff and audiences.
The Forum Theatre reopened last month with some socially distanced events after an extended closure due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Darren Stannage, Company Manager at the theatre said it was important that patrons could feel safe when visiting the Forum:
Up and down the country theatres are starting to reopen and we believe there is a real thirst for the public to get back to watching live performances. It is important though that everyone involved, from cast members and theatre staff to the audience themselves can be reassured that everything has been done to make their visit as safe as possible. Whilst we have received some fantastic feedback from patrons so far, the See it Safely mark I hope will reassure our visitors that their experience back at the Forum is a safe and enjoyable one.”
The theatre will continue to follow best practice should any measures be in place for events scheduled after Step 4 of the Government’s Roadmap out of restrictions. Theatregoers can find a full list of safety measures in place at the Forum Theatre, together with frequently asked questions, on the theatre website.
