Tony Ford set up his business with partner Campbell in 1997 on Petersgate, Stockport and has since established sister companies Ford Hastings and Lloyd Street Private Capital.
Tony said: “The time has come for me to get off the treadmill in order to focus on assisting one or two companies grow and develop their businesses towards exit.
“I have enjoyed every minute of my time with Ford Campbell and the business is in its best ever shape for the future.
“I leave behind a quality and experienced team who will remain my friends and I wish them all the best for the future”.
Following his retirement, Ford Campbell will continue to be led by managing partner Neil Worsley and partners Chris Froggatt and Mike Driver.
Ford Campbell specialises in advising owner-managers of businesses on sales, acquisitions and fund-raisings. It opened a London office this year.
Mr Worsley said: “Tony has made an enormous contribution to Ford Campbell and we wish him all the very best in his future ventures.”
