Stockport Council has warned of likely disruption in Marple following the collapse of a carriageway.
Solutions SK operatives are on site at Arkwright Road in Marple near to the school to investigate the cause of the collapse and a traffic diversion is now in operation via Stockport Road, Hollins Lane and Station Road.
A programme of footway works has also commenced.
Work is due to be carried out on Roundcroft, Romiley, between Compstall Road and Green Croft from 22nd April and on Fortescue Road in Offerton. Both repairs are scheduled to take up to four weeks.
The works will be carried out between 8.00am and 4.00pm daily and property owners who are directly affected have received a letter outlining the scope of the work and the timescales involved.
