Stockport-based coach operator, Belle Vue Manchester, will operate a new twice-daily service to Manchester Airport for express coach network FlixBus.
The travel tech company is launching the new service on Thursday 28 March, in time for Easter getaways, and will connect Manchester’s Shudehill Interchange, Stoke-on-Trent and Birmingham with the airport. With around 19 million people travelling to and from Manchester Airport each year, Flixbus’s dedicated route aims to offer further sustainable transport options to the UK’s third busiest airport.
Belle Vue, based in Stockport, also provides FlixBus services between Manchester, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Newcastle. The companies announced an enhanced partnership last year, with brand-new vehicles joining the network.
Phil Hitchen, Managing Director of Belle Vue, commented:
“We are delighted to extend our partnership with FlixBus even further and help their mission to build the largest UK network with the best customer experience.
“Our brand new coaches offer the highest standards of comfort for long-distance journeys, with all the facilities to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable trip with us.
“Our service is the only one in the UK where the drivers are trained to read their passengers’ personalities so they can anticipate their wants, needs and expectations and deliver an exceptional, personal travel service that makes people come back for more.”
The FlixBus network offers more than 60 destinations, including regular daily routes between London Gatwick and Heathrow Airport for Bristol and Wales.
Andreas Schorling, Managing Director of FlixBus UK said:
“We’re on a mission to build the largest coach network in the country, and this new service gives our customers more choice than ever, connecting key cities like Manchester and Birmingham.
“We expect this new Manchester Airport route to be as popular with passengers as the first dedicated airport services we launched last year, offering a great value, convenient way to travel.”
