Fixtures for Stockport County’s 2024/25 season have now been confirmed as the club returns to League One after their recent trophy win.
The club will start the season at Edgeley Park for the fourth consecutive year on 10th August against Cambridge United. Kick-off will be at 5.30pm, with the game set to be broadcast on Sky Sports. The two sides last met in January 2013.
The Hatters’ first away fixture of the season on 17th August will take them to Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road for the first time since 2004, when Stockport County won 4-0.
The final league game at Edgeley Park next season will see Stockport County host Lincoln City, who just missed out on the play-off places last season, on Saturday 26th April. The club will round off the campaign a week later with a trip to Wycombe Wanderers, on Saturday 3rd May.
County’s closest geographical rivals in League One next season will be beaten play-off finalists, Bolton Wanderers: a home game against the Trotters is set to be played on 9th November before a short trip to the University of Bolton Stadium on 15th March.
Next season will also see the Hatters take on Wigan Athletic in league competition for the first time since 2003, hosting at Edgeley Park on Saturday 5th October, before travelling to the DW Stadium on 15th February.
