Stockport College is holding its first virtual open event for prospective students looking to begin studies in the 2020-21 academic year.
By signing up on the College website, candidates will receive a unique access code to a special microsite that goes live at 2pm on Wednesday 20th May.
The link will enable participants and their families to view a virtual tour of the campus, watch special addresses from College staff and gain access to key information, with live support and guidance from a team of webchat advisors as at a traditional open event.
College Group Principal, Lesley Davies OBE said:
During these challenging times, we want to reassure people that we are continuing to provide high quality courses and apprenticeships that serve our local communities.
“We are extremely proud to have the facilities and technological ability to be able to host such an innovative virtual open event. This is yet another way in which we’re showing what makes Stockport College a great place to study.”
Course applications can be made currently online or by downloading an application form that can be sent through the post.
During the coronavirus outbreak, Stockport College has been operating remotely, although it has remained open on a limited basis for students who have a social worker, an EHCP or whose parents/carers are key workers.
