Air Transat has resumed flying between Manchester Airport and the Canadian city of Toronto, the first transatlantic route to resume as the UK eases international travel restrictions.
All three of the airport’s terminals are now fully operational again as passenger numbers continue to climb. Other airlines including EasyJet and TUI have also expanded their offering further to popular European holiday destinations.
With the Government’s relaxation of quarantine, and introduction of travel corridors, all passengers arriving into Manchester Airport need to be ready for UK Border control by completing a Passenger Locator Form. Upon arrival they will need to show either a print out of the form or have it on their phone. The form can be accessed online from the gov.uk website.
Passengers are also reminded to check government guidance on travel corridors and quarantining before travelling as well as Foreign & Commonwealth Office advice on international travel.
As more and more passengers and flights return, as has the airport’s retail offering. In addition to passengers being able to purchase food and drink, they can also take advantage of the free water fountains across the site to fill up empty bottles.
In Terminal Two MAG Hospitality is also providing a café style takeaway, offering a range of hot and cold beverages, and light snacks and sandwiches.

Rad Taylor, Operations Director at Manchester Airport, said:
As we continue to see the return of more airlines and destinations for our passengers to fly to, we remain fully committed to ensuring their safety throughout their airport journey.
“It is pleasing routes are increasing each week, giving passengers who want to travel the choice and opportunity to do so. This is why we now have all three terminals in operation, to allow passengers to maintain and keep a safe distance whilst on site.
“I’d like to thank all our passengers for continuing to abide by the measures in place during these uncertain times, and also thank all our staff who have gone above and beyond to ensure safe travel for all.”
