With the deadline for applications to the annual awards fast approaching, a final call has gone out to Stockport’s innovators, marketers and best places to work to submit their entries.
The Stockport Business Awards have been celebrating business excellence in Stockport for the past ten years, and after a short break due to the coronavirus pandemic, the awards return in 2021 to highlight the best in business in the borough. With the deadline for entries on Friday 11th June, a final call has gone out to businesses to share their innovative practices, the successes of their marketing teams, and how they have excelled as a place to work over the past 12 months; and enter one of the following three categories:
The Innovation Award
Sponsored by SMBC & SEA
This award recognises a company that successfully applies any form of innovation, celebrating the ideas that have had the greatest impact on an organisation or industry. Whether the innovation is a new product, a service or a culture of improvement, the judges will look for evidence of how the innovation has been developed and applied to improve commercial performance, operational effectiveness or customer engagement. The award will go to the company that can best demonstrate an innovation or innovative approach that has created competitive advantage and contributed to growth.
Marketing Team of the Year
Sponsored by Marketing Stockport
This award is for those within a marketing team. The judges will be looking for a campaign that has clear objectives, creative and effective implementation and tangible and demonstrable results for the business. Evidence of impact and results will be required for this award. Entrants may even wish to consider co-nominations where client and agency have worked well together to help to grow each other’s businesses.
Employer of the Year
Sponsored by GC Business Growth Hub
This Award will go to the organisation that can best demonstrate how it has created a stimulating and supportive workplace, with a well-motivated, well-trained, ambitious, innovative and integrated workforce. Judges will look for evidence of how employees are engaged in strategic goals and company values. They will also look at investment in people, initiatives to create a more collaborative culture, and the impact this has had on commercial performance.
