As the Stockport Business awards start to taxi down the runway, several Stockport based businesses and members of Marketing Stockport have provided some incredible prizes !
Orbit Developments have donated one of the star prizes, a holiday – A 7 night stay in the luxurious Boavista Golf & Spa Resort situated in Lagos Portugal and Uniglobe Travel have donated £200 in vouchers towards the cost of the flights !
Midshire Business Systems have donated a mini iPad, MAN Diesel & Turbo UK Ltd a wonderful Regency hamper and Robinsons Brewery a tour & meal for 4.
Some plush towels from Welspun, Souter PR a free place on the new training school for business the Content Academy, a few bottles of champers from Clarke Nicklin and from Stockport Express a full page advert….and many many more prizes details of which will be divulged on the night along with details of the raffle.
This year the Stockport Business Awards chosen charity is ‘The Weekend Day Centre for Dementia Care’ The Weekend Day Centre provide a service to directly meet the needs of Carers.
Carers have stated that they find weekends a difficult time because other support services are not available. The staff at the centre respond to the needs of people living with dementia and their Carers and are able to offer both individual and group support. This gives them the opportunity to talk to other Carers in a relaxed setting. Experience has shown that sharing problems is of great benefit to Carers of people living with dementia, who otherwise can feel quite isolated.
