It is another fantastic year in Stockport following the publication of the 2013 GCSE results for all the borough’s secondary schools.
The percentage of pupils gaining five or more passes at A*- C grade, including English and maths, is provisionally 65.1%.
Councillor Shan Alexander, Executive Member for Lifelong Learning and Achievement, said: “Stockport pupils have done very well again this year and gained excellent GCSE results. I would like to congratulate all the young people on their hard work that produced such good results.
“I would also like to pay tribute to the extremely strong partnership of teachers, governors, parents, carers and the Council which has contributed significantly to these successes in Stockport.”
