Stockport based Fairhurst Estates are showing their support to student placement to secure the future for the next generation of property professionals.
Cameron McMaster has joined the busy Building Team at Fairhurst Estates to undertake a one year placement.
Cameron has recently completed the second year of a Building Surveying BSc (Hons) degree at Sheffield Hallam University.
Cameron will work alongside Fairhurst Estates senior Chartered Building Surveyors during his placement year to gain valuable experience in all aspects of Building Surveying.
He will keep a diary of his experience as year one of the APC (Assessment of Professional Competence) in preparation for becoming a Chartered Surveyor.
Cameron will return to University in autumn 2017 to complete the final year of his degree & then work towards further APC study before gaining full membership of the RICS.
Fairhurst Estates John Thornley commented: “Students placements are an important part of their course. It is really important that, as business owners, we give students the opportunity to benefit from the experience of a placement within their chosen sector.
“We will work with Cameron to ensure that the next 12 months give him opportunities to get a good insight into the role of a Chartered Surveyor and hope he enjoys his time with us.”
