Stockport based Fairhurst Estates were called in by bosses at Cheadle Golf Club as they resolved to help save neighbouring Bruntwood Park pitch & putt after the Council withdrew from running the venue last year.
Fairhurst Estates Limited (FEL)’s Howard Derbyshire was engaged to carry out a photographic Schedule of Condition of the building on the site at the Bruntwood Park course and also undertook an insurance re instatement valuation of the building.
Stockport Council had said that the course would only be re-opened if a third party could be found to take over.
Stockport council stopped running the Bruntwood Park course in Cheadle last September for the winter season as normal but, following cuts to Stockport Council’s parks and open spaces budget, was not expected to reopen.
Bosses at Cheadle Golf Club are planning to open the Bruntwood course next month and hope to bring young people to the game and nurture up-and-coming talent before introducing them to Cheadle Golf Club.
