Facebook ‘live’ for Stockport Review Extra

Stockport Council will be bringing the December edition of the Stockport Review EXTRA to life next week.

A Facebook Live stream will start at 2pm next Monday (12 December) where Cllr David Sedgwick will talk viewers through the latest edition of the recently relaunched e-newsletter.

The monthly bulletin comes as the paper edition of the Stockport Review moves to a yearly production starting in July 2017.

Cllr David Sedgwick, Stockport Councils Executive Member for Reform and Governance, said: “The Stockport Review EXTRA means we can communicate more effectively with Stockport residents and businesses while reducing the amount we currently spend.

“It’s clear that people want access to information and services in different ways. We’ve had over 4000 subscribers to the Review EXTRA since it relaunched in October, whilst the Council website has had over 2m visits so far this year.

“The growing popularity of digital consumption is why we’re hoping people will sign up to the Stockport Review EXTRA as well as checking out our video on the 12 December. Facebook Live is the perfect opportunity for our readers to engage with us real time and to take a more in-depth look at the December edition.”
