Local art groups and artists are invited to submit their exhibitions for display at Stockport Art Gallery.
Over the last two months, Stockport Council has worked with local art organisations who wish to use Stockport Art Gallery to display their high quality artistic works. A summer exhibition programme, displayed and curated by artists and art groups, has been organised.
Following this success, the Council and its partners are extending the arrangement until 31st March 2014 and are inviting local art groups and artists to submit exhibitions in the Art Gallery’s three distinct exhibition spaces.
The selection of exhibitions is made by a panel representative of local arts organisations and the Council.
Councillor Iain Roberts, Executive Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said:
“The Council wants to promote the use of Stockport Art Gallery over the next 9 months as a venue for showcasing a range of local artistic talent, working in a variety of art forms and styles.
“Working closely with local art organisations, an exciting summer programme of high quality art has been arranged. We now want to hear from art groups and artists who wish to exhibit and showcase their works to a wider audience over the next nine months at this popular town centre venue,” Cllr Roberts added.
