Estate agent Gascoigne Halman has been included in the London Stock Exchange Group’s (LSEG) annual report ‘1,000 Companies to inspire Britain 2016’.
The LSEG have described these listed companies as the engine of the British economy.
The report, in its third year, is an annual celebration of some of the fastest growing and most dynamic SMEs in the UK with an average growth of 50% per year. This year 101 of the companies are located in the North West, which is 15% higher than last year.
Xavier Rolet, CEO of LSEG, said that the selection criteria for the listing required the companies to not only have shown great growing revenue over the past 4 years, but to have also outperformed their sector peers.
He has also described the listed companies as ‘the vanguard of a new, anti-fragile British economy’,
Commenting on the report, Chancellor George Osborne has said: “The businesses and entrepreneurs in the report are a fantastic illustration of the UK’s pioneering entrepreneurial spirit and our nation’s capacity to produce world class innovation.”
John Halman, founder of Gascoigne Halman, which celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, said: “Being recognised by the London Stock Exchange as one of Britain’s most inspiring companies is a great honour. We are also privileged to be one of only two companies in real estate listed in the North West of England.
“As a business we continue to innovate and the delivery of exceptional customer service sits at the heart of everything that we do. I am delighted that the company is seen as inspiring as a result of this.”
Gascoigne Halman has 18 offices across the area with the latest opening in Heaton Moor last month.
