ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS AT HAT WORKS
Stockport Council’s Hat Works museum is holding their annual Enchanted Christmas event on Sunday 9th December. The Council is encouraging people to come along to the fun packed event which offers seasonal fun for all ages. Activities include Christmas craft workshops, join-in dance performances, festive face painting, carol singing, magic and theatre. All activities are designed to get you in a festive mood.
Highlights from this year’s programme include:
Stockport School Brass Band
NK Theatre Art performing Cinderella
Christmas Carols with ‘Affinity’
Zany’s Christmas Magic Show
Christmas Fan Dance
Festive face painting
Children can visit Father Christmas in his festive
grotto and receive a small gift.
Hat Works new-look shop has been stocked with a range of gifts ideal for Christmas presents including books, jewellery and vintage crockery. Festive refreshments are available from the Level 2 Café throughout the day.
Councillor Iain Roberts, Stockport Council’s Executive Member for Economic Development and Regeneration said: “I would recommend people to come along to Hat Works for a day of festive merriment. This event is an excellent way of entertaining people of all ages in the countdown to Christmas.”
The event runs from 11.00am to 4.00pm. Admission is £3.50 for adults, £1 for Children. Visits to Father Christmas are £2.
