Stockport wholesaler, Parfetts, achieved sales of £14.6 million during the week ending 18th September, a record-breaking performance for the firm.
The employee-owned business ran a ‘September Savers Trade Week’ across its depots nationwide as part of an expansion of trading events for customers. Of its seven sites, the Aintree depot was the top-performing branch with sales of £3.5 million.
Commenting on the results, Guy Swindell, joint managing director of Parfetts, said:
“We continue to invest back into the business to support retailers through this challenging economic period. Our promotions calendar continues to grow and means we see existing customers shopping with us more often while also attracting new customers to our retail club and fascia groups.
“Parfetts employee-owned structure means that it can respond quickly and flexibly to retailers’ needs. We’re working hard to ensure we protect and increase retailer margins at a time when they really need it. And at the same time are continuing to offer free delivery, free leaflet distribution and free marketing support.”
The Stockport headquartered wholesale group is expanding its calendar of trading events with upcoming promotions, including Halloween, The World Cup and Christmas. The move marks a continuation of the company’s strategy to provide the cash-and-carry service retailers need, supported by strong click-and-collect and delivered services.
Parfetts operates seven depots in Aintree, Anfield, Halifax, Middlesbrough, Sheffield, Somercoates and Stockport. It is opening a Birmingham depot in the coming months.
