Emirates’ Manchester cargo flights resume

Emirates SkyCargo, the air frieght division of Dubai-based Emirates airline, has resumed cargo flights to and from Manchester Airport.

The first passenger freighter landed on 23rd May, before taken off again with several tonnes of cargo including pharmaceuticals destined for Asia and Australia.

The resumption of twice weekly Emirates’ cargo flights will help reconnect the North West with overseas markets via Manchester Airport. Cargo routes between Dubai and London Heathrow have also resumed.

In the last few weeks, Emirates SkyCargo has introduced a series of new protocols around the world to put the safety of its people and operations first. New measures include regular hand washing, practicing social distancing and wearing of masks and gloves. In addition, the air cargo carrier has consolidated all cargo operations at its Dubai hub, and set up thermal temperature scanners and sanitisation facilities to enhance the safety of employees and protect global operations.
