Stockport Council are urging households to ensure that they are eligible to vote in future elections.
Local residents will soon be receiving a Household Enquiry Form reminding them to confirm if their details are correct on the Electoral Register.
The reminders will be sent on this week to Stockport households which haven’t responded to the first form sent in July. The reminder will ask residents to confirm their details, or make any changes, so that they can be included on the new Register of Electors which will be published on 1st December 2016.
If the details are correct, it’s quick and easy to confirm by going online at www.householdresponse.com/stockport and following the instructions on the webpage.
You can alternatively confirm by phone or text – which saves time for you and money for Stockport Council.
If the details on the form have changed, it’s quick and easy to let us know; you can go online and add or remove names.
Residents who do not have access to the automated options can complete and return the form in the pre-paid envelope provided.
If you have any questions, please contact the Council’s Elections office at elections.office@stockport.gov.uk or visit www.stockport.gov.uk/elections.
