The Olive Café, 88-90 Castle Street, Edgeley, will host a pop-up Covid-19 vaccination clinic on Thursday 24th March, open for anyone to get their first, second of booster jab.
While many people will be planning to take a much-deserved holiday during the Easter break, not being vaccinated against Covid-19 could see those flying abroad turned away by border officials, depending on the public health restrictions in place in their destination country. Thursday 24th March will also see the end to changes to sick-pay rules that allow those testing positive for Covid-19 to receive SSP from day one of their absence from work.
No appointment is needed, just turn up to the Olive Café between 10am and 12pm on 24th March to get your vaccination.
You can also get COVID-19 vaccinations for yourself or your family at Trinity Methodist Church, Trinity Gardens, 351 Bramhall Lane. The clinic there is open for walk-in and booked appointments from 9am to 6pm, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Dr Cath Munro, Chair of NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group, said:
“The COVID-19 vaccination pop-up at the Olive Café is ideal if you are planning to go away soon. But even if you aren’t travelling abroad, cases are rising again in Stockport and Covid is still here. So getting vaccinated continues to protect you, your family and your friends from getting seriously ill from this virus.”
Other options for getting your first, second or booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccination in Stockport can be found on the NHS Stockport CCG website.
