Low-cost airline, easyJet, has confirmed a new seasonal route from Manchester Airport to the Red Sea city of Aqaba, Jordan.
Flights and holidays are now on sale from Manchester Airport to King Hussein Aqaba Airport in Jordan. The Middle Eastern city offers year-round sunshine, with access to diving and beaches on the Red Sea, lunar-like deserts of Wadi Rum and the architectural wonders of the ancient city of Petra (pictured).
Flights will operate up to twice a week on Mondays and Fridays throughout the winter, with flights scheduled to take off from 6 December 2021.
The new flights and holidays adds even more choice to an already extensive winter 2021 and summer 2022 network of destinations across Europe, North African and the Middle East already on sale with easyJet and easyJet holidays.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager said:
“We are delighted to announce today that we are adding even more exciting destinations to our Manchester network, with new flights to Aqaba in Jordan. We know our customers can’t wait to go on a long-awaited and well-deserved holiday, so this new route will prove popular for customers wishing to get away for some winter sun and further strengthens our Manchester international network, providing customers with great value fares and ever more choice this winter.”
Karen Smart, Managing Director at Manchester Airport, added:
“The announcement of this new route is fantastic news for passengers who are seeking some sunshine this winter, and we are delighted to see easyJet expanding its Manchester network and offering even more choice to travellers.
“As Covid-19 restrictions continue to ease, we hope to see an increase in the variety and frequency of routes available this winter, ensuring that for those seeking a much-needed break, there is something to suit all tastes and budgets.”
