Low-cost airline, easyJet, has announced four new routes will begin flying from Manchester Airport starting Winter 2024.
A new twice-weekly route to Tromso in Norway, an entirely new destination for the airline, and will start on 19 November and operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout winter for travellers to take in the Northern Lights. easyJet will also launch a new route to Akureyri in Northern Iceland from Manchester starting on 12th November and operating throughout the winter on Tuesdays and Saturdays. easyJet is the only UK airline to operate flights to the destination.
Sun-seekers will also benefit from a new route to the island of Djerba, off the coast of Tunisia, which will launch from Manchester on 11th November on Mondays and Fridays.
A fourth new route will run four-times weekly from 4th November to the Swiss city of Zurich offering additional capacity for both business and leisure travel alike.
To support the new routes easyJet is adding an extra two Airbus A320 aircraft to be based in Manchester arriving this month, creating over 400 indirect jobs.
