DJS Research Ltd are pleased to announce that they will be hosting the inaugural North West Market Research World Cup on June 21st 2013. The 2013 competition is being held to raise money for CLIC Sargent, the charity for children and young people with cancer.
The 5-a-side football competition will see 8 teams from 6 different market
research companies competing for victory – initially in a round robin format
featuring two groups of four, and then a knock-out semi-final and final.
Third place will be decided by a penalty shoot-out.
The teams competing in the competition are The Fuller Research Group,
B2B International, Park Lane Research, Join The Dots, Peak Answers, and
DJS Research Ltd all of whom have made donations to CLIC Sargent by
way of an entry fee.
In addition, both Alchemy Research and Calibre Search have made large donations to the charity, and will be attending to support the event along with numerous others involved in the market research industry.
Vicki Moore, Fundraising Manager for the North West and North Wales at
CLIC Sargent, said the event would raise valuable funds for the charity:
“I was thrilled when I heard DJS Research were holding a MR World Cup
in aid of CLIC Sargent. DJS Research have been a phenomenal partner
so far, and I have no doubt that the Market Research World Cup they are
hosting will be a great success and raise vital funds for CLIC Sargent and
the children and families we support.”
Matches will be played on an all-weather surface at DJS Research’s offices, with a crowd of around 120 anticipated. DJS Research, with the support of the market research community, hope to raise over £1000 for the charity – which would fund a family’s stay in a CLIC Sargent ‘Home from Home’ for a month.
Elliot Simmonds, who leads DJS Research’s corporate charity scheme and organised the event, commented:

We have had over 100 confirmed guests and the market research industry in the North-west – from full-service agencies, to fieldwork providers, to suppliers and recruitment agencies – has really pulled together to support what is a great cause. It really does show that business can be such a force for good, and I’m really pleased to be part of an industry that recognises and values that.”
