DJS Research Ltd is pleased to announce the promotion of Alistair Smith to Senior Data Executive. Alistair has been with the agency, which has grown year on year since 2005, for almost 3 years – having originally joined the consultancy when it was based in Whaley Bridge.
Alistair graduated from the University of Salford with a degree in Sound and Video Technology. On joining DJS Research, he was able to use his pre-existing knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript to assist with web design. This prior experience formed a solid base for Alistair to move in to the Data Service department and he quickly developed in to a skilled data processor and analyst – regularly creating Quantum tabulations, MS Excel and SPSS data files. He also has a detailed knowledge of advanced Excel functions and VBA macros and is a skilled survey programmer and designer – having been heavily involved in DJS’ increasingly complex and visual online research offering.
Alistair’s contribution to the recent success at DJS Research has not gone un-noticed, and his promotion will see him leading the Data Services team and taking on a more involved role in managing client accounts – he already has experience managing the data aspects of multi-national projects for clients such as The British Council, DuPont and United World Colleges.
Speaking about Alistair’s promotion, Matthew Coulling, Operations Director at DJS Research Ltd, was full of praise:
“Al has been with us nearly 3 years now and has shown great strengths in scripting, tab production, VBA and generally anything data related. He has worked on a number of projects for various DJS directors and Project Managers and in addition he has started to manage some of the Data Team’s own projects, being in direct contact with our clients on a day to day basis. He has been an outstanding addition to our team since the day he arrived, and I’m sure he will continue to be so as we move forward as an agency – congratulations Alistair.”
