
Dawn has added a search engine optimisation (SEO) offer to its core services, and making it a foundational part of how the Cheadle Hulme-based branding agency helps build and grow brands online.
Dawn believes the industry has suffered from too many empty promises, spammy emails and retainer-driven sales tactics. By bringing SEO in-house, they’re aiming to change that, combining creative thinking with real performance outcomes.

Matt Oldroyd, Dawn’s new in-house SEO Manager (pictured), has joined the agency to head up the new SEO offer. Originally from Yorkshire, Matt moved to Manchester in 2024 after a six-year stint in Newcastle. With a background in digital marketing and years of hands-on SEO experience, he’s a data-driven problem solver who knows how to turn clicks into conversions. He said:
“Sure, it’s great to see green arrows on a keyword tracker, but what really matters is what that visibility turns into. Leads, revenue, signups… That’s what I get excited about.”
To Dawn, He brings an experimental mindset, a collaborative spirit, and a love of making complex things easy to understand. He’s also a big fan of brands that don’t take themselves too seriously (think Aldi, Oatly or Duolingo) but that do serious things in the world. Commenting on joining the agency, Matt said:
