Extra Covid-19 vaccination clinics are taking place this week at the One Stockport Hub in Merseyway in the town centre as part of a push to get more people vaccinated with a booster dose of the jab.
The walk-in clinics are open 10am to 3pm, Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th December, in addition to already advertised opening times for the clinic from Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th.
Following confirmation in a national address from Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Sunday, a booster dose of the vaccine is available for anyone over 18 who had their second jab more than three months ago. First and second doses of the jab will also be available.
Vaccinations will be given on a first come, first served basis. The clinic may end slightly earlier than planned if all vaccines have been administered.
When queueing for your COVID-19 jab, you can help speed up the process by taking a minute to find your NHS number. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have it, but your NHS number will speed up the booking-in process. Find it here on the NHS website, or on any documentation you may have received from the NHS in the past, such as a referral letter or hospital discharge summary.
Booster doses of the Covid-19 vaccine can also be accessed by booking an appointment at your local vaccination centre on the NHS website. Booster appointments for those aged 18-29, unless previously identified as clinically vulnerable, will be available from Wednesday.
