Stockport businesses looking to reduce their environmental impact are being encouraged to the latest Climate Action Now Business Forum, taking place on June 16th.
The event is part of a series organised by Stockport Council’s Climate Action Now team, aiming to support Stockport based businesses on their journey to achieving net zero. The forum gives businesses in the borough the opportunity to hear how others in Stockport are working towards becoming carbon neutral and share expertise with one another.
The theme for the second Climate Action Now Business Forum is ‘how to get started.’ Attendees will hear from schoolwear manufacturer and registered B Corporation, One+All, exploring how to get your team on board, followed by discussion on carbon literacy including an introduction from The Carbon Literacy Project, a Stockport carbon literacy offer with musicMagpie, and an approach for SMEs to measure climate impact with Graeme Hayes, MMU. There will also be time for networking and discussion at the start and end of the meeting.
Stockport Council’s Head of Climate Action Now, Nick Leslie, will also share the progress of Stockport Council’s efforts to decarbonise the borough.
The second Climate Action Now Business Forum is free to attend for Stockport businesses, and is being held 8am to 10am on Thursday June 16th both online, and in-person at Cornerstone, 2 Edward Street. The agenda for the morning is as follows:
