Ciao! Pizza Express and Zizzi arriving at Stockport

Well known and popular eateries Pizza Express and Zizzi will soon be arriving at Redrock, Stockport’s new town centre leisure complex opening in 2017.

The restaurants will join Light Cinema who has already committed to the development meaning that the units are now 60% pre-let.

Pizza Express and Zizziz are certain to draw people into Redrock and Stockport town centre, bringing an evening culture into the town.

Italian chain Zizzi’s 3,000 sq ft restaurant will be open to diners from lunchtime through to late evening. Zizzi commenced trading in the UK in 1999 and now has over 140 outlets. The name “Zizzi” originates from Sicilian dialect meaning “stylish youth” – and style is what Redrock will bring to Stockport.

Redrock is part of Stockport Council’s Investing in Stockport programme that will see around £900 million invested into Growth projects by the Council and its partners as they make Stockport an even better place to live, work and visit.

Redrock is a £45m leisure development that will transform a key area of Stockport town centre to the rear of Prince’s Street, bringing both vibrancy and added appeal to make the town centre more enjoyable and extend the time the public spend there.

Councillor Patrick McAuley, Executive Member for Thriving Economy at Stockport Council said: “It is fantastic to welcome Zizzi and Pizza Express to Stockport.  These are both popular restaurants and them choosing to join us at Redrock is exciting news for our town.

“Redrock will see an important area of Stockport town centre transformed into a new, vibrant leisure and retail destination for residents and visitors.  These announcements follow the news that Holiday Inn Express will be opening a hotel as part of the neighbouring Stockport Exchange development showing the Council’s commitment to making Stockport an even better place to live, work and visit.”
