Manchester Airport’s Runway Visitor Park is once again hosting its popular annual Christmas Concorde tour.
Set under the wings of the iconic Concorde, guests will be able to enjoy a two course Christmas lunch and a festive drink before an hour-long tour of Concorde.
The tour will give guests the chance to sit on the famous seats that were once graced by celebrities and royalty and explore the cockpit of this supersonic machine. Each attendee will receive a commemorative certificate to remind them of their tour as well.
With tickets at £35, this year’s tour will take place on Sunday 8 December.
The Runway Visitor Park is a unique visitor centre overlooking Manchester Airport’s two runways. From its elevated viewing spots, the park enables aviation enthusiasts to watch the take off and landings of the hundreds of daily flights at the airport. It is home to five retired aircraft: the Concorde G-BOAC, RAF Nimrod, the DC-10, Trident and the AVRO RJX.
With supersonic tours of Concorde available all year round, the Runway Visitor Park is also offering gift vouchers, giving everyone the opportunity to gift the Concorde tour to any aviation enthusiasts in their lives this Christmas.

For children, the Flight Academy is also returning to the airport over the Christmas holidays. The academy gives kids the chance to climb onboard a real aircraft and sit in the cockpit as they learn more about aviation and flying a plane. They’ll also get the chance to try their hand at being a pilot, cabin crew or air traffic controller in a role play session exploring the many careers at the airport. It will take place on Saturday 28 December.
The park is open from 8am-4pm from November through to February, from 8am-6pm March through to May, from 8am-8pm June through to August, and 8am-6pm in September and October.
