On Wednesday, 24th May 2018, MAN Diesel & Turbo UK Ltd. (MDT-UK) hosted 29 visitors from 22 different Technician Colleges in China’s Jiangsu Province.
The delegates are in the UK for three weeks as part of the Continuing Professional Development programme (CPD) organised by the Trafford College Group and Suman Education International. All delegates are either technician instructors or lecturers from various engineering backgrounds.
The main purpose of their study is to understand the UK’s vocational education and training practices, especially apprenticeship schemes and creativity and employment for young learners. In addition, they will learn about the partnerships between colleges and organisations, the engineering curriculum and industry development.
The delegates were given a presentation on the MAN Group before embarking on a guided tour of the company’s state-of-the-art Training Academy.
