Chilli Apparel, a clothing manufacturer which is already based in Stockport, has taken a 10 year lease on a building on Chain Point as part of its expansion plan.
Acting on behalf of Renold PLC, WHR Property Consultants and joint letting agent, Lambert Smith Hampton have let Chain Point – a 145,000 sq ft modern distribution / warehouse unit in Bredbury, Stockport to Chilli Apparel at £3.75 per sq ft.
Simon Hampson, Partner at WHR, comments: “This is the second largest industrial deal to have been completed in the North West this year – the first being the letting to Amazon at Airport City that we secured on behalf of Stoford earlier this year.
“This deal demonstrates the continued strength of the North West property market and proves that despite initial Brexit fears, the North West is still very much open for business with occupier demand still strong.”
John Sullivan, head of industrial agency at Lambert Smith Hampton adds: “There is a real shortage of properties of this mid-size and big-box, especially around Manchester and Cheshire. Until there is more speculative development of industrial units of this type, we can only expect prices to go up.”
Chilli Apparel was originally established in Manchester and is currently based at Broadstone Mill in Reddish.
Brands include Harvey & Jones, Quba & Co. and Supremacy.
