Businesses from Cheadle Royal Business Park turned the business park pink last month to raise awareness and funds for a local breast cancer prevention charity.
The ‘Turn Cheadle Royal Business Park pink’ campaign was created by Prevent Breast Cancer, the only UK charity funding ground-breaking research solely aimed at preventing breast cancer for future generations.
Business on the park including Jarden CS, Clarke Nicklin chartered accountants, Balfour Beatty, Cheadle Royal Management team, Solutions PT, Kids Allowed, Fresh Group, Together Finance, Regus and De Vere Venues all came together to raise the fantastic sum of £3820.59.
The money was raised by hosting cake sales, dress down days, raffles, merchandise sales and at the main joint event which was a sponsored walk, jog or run 5km around the park.
Prevent Breast Cancer has a goal that their research will one day bring about a world where breast cancer is preventable and thousands of lives are saved from ever experiencing this terrible disease.
Angela Wrobel, corporate fundraiser commented; “Imagine a world without breast cancer, where there is no before or after diagnosis. Thanks to supporters like this we can continue to fund our vital research projects and support the services and patient care at The Nightingale Centre. Sincere thanks once again for your generous support.”
