The third annual Stockport Beer week returns to the town centre on Thursday 21st September in support of Stockport’s finest pubs and eight – yes, eight – breweries.
The event has been so successful the past two years the festival will return for eleven jam-packed days of events (21st September until 1st October) ranging from beer tours, a beer festival and Meet the Brewer evenings amongst much more.

Coinciding with National Cask Ale Week, (21st September – 01st October) this year’s event will raise fund for local charity Stockport CP which supports adults with physical and/or learning disabilities and autistic spectrum conditions.
Councillor Kate Butler, Stockport Councils Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration, said:
“Stockport Beer Week is all about celebrating Stockport’s booming food and drink scene. This event will help us show case all the amazing pubs and breweries we have in Stockport.
“The amazing thing about this event is that it will raise money for one of our local charities Stockport CP. This year has more on offer than previous years, and I’m personally looking forward to the historic pub walk in the Market Place.”
With no fewer than eight breweries in Stockport and a thriving pub scene, organisers Stockport and South Manchester Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) hope that this year’s event will keep people coming back to Stockport’s fast growing food and drink scene for many years to come.
Chris Walkden, Beer Week Coordinator said,
“It all starts on 21st September with the CAMRA Pub of the Month award at the Petersgate Tap and the launch of the Beer Week Beer. Over the next 11 days, there’s something for everyone. Most events are free, so come along and support the local pubs, drink some good beer and have a good time with fellow beer enthusiasts.”
