
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Stockport based regional power grid operator, Electricity North West, David Brocksom, is retire in June 2023, sparking a search for his replacement.
David Brocksom has worked at Electricity North West since 2013, becoming a Director of the firm in 2015. His pending retirement was announced in a statement to investors by the power grid operator’s board of directors, who said:
“The Board of directors of Electricity North West Limited (ENWL) today announces that the Chief Financial Officer of Electricity North West Limited, and director of ENW Finance plc, David Brocksom, is to retire. David has confirmed his intention to retire on 30 June 2023. The Board has already started the search for a new Chief Financial Officer.”
Senior colleagues at the power grid operator also shared tributes to the outgoing CFO in the announcement:

” David has not just been a fine CFO for Electricity North West Limited but a highly valued member of the Board. His fine grasp of economics combined with his wide industrial insights were immensely helpful to the Board as the Company transitioned to a higher performing DNO. He also provided great continuity and stability during both the changes of owners in 2019 and the change of CEO in 2022.”
Ian Smyth, Chief Executive Officer, commented:
“David has been an important part of the success of ENWL. Today, ENWL delivers the lowest cost service with the least number of power interruptions in the UK. David will be missed but will always be part of the ENWL family.”
