Cheadle based specialist lender, Together, has announced Gerald Grimes will join the business as Group CEO Designate, ahead of the current CEO and founder stepping down.
Gerald will support Henry Moser, founder and Group CEO, for a period of 12 – 18 months before assuming the role of Group CEO himself, providing for an extended transitional period at the end of which Henry Moser will step down, but remain an Executive Director of the Group Board.
Gerald has over 30 years of financial services experience having held senior roles in a number of organisations including Barclays, GE Capital, The Funding Corporation, Hitachi Credit and most recently PCF Bank. In addition, he has, until recently, served as a board director of the Financial Leasing Association (previously Chairman), as a member of the Bank of England Advisory Board, and has an advisory role with the FCA Small Business Practitioner Board.
Henry Moser, Founder and Group CEO, said:
I am excited to announce Gerald as my successor as CEO. Having founded this Company many years ago, it is now time for me to think about succession and take a small step back. I intend to remain actively involved in the business whilst ceding my CEO role to Gerald after a sensible transition period. Together is a special business with a unique character and culture. Gerald understands that and is the right person to take the Group forward.”
Gerald Grimes, Group CEO Designate commented:
Having known the Together business for a number of years, I am delighted to be working with the team to build on the impressive legacy created over the last 45 years. We are looking forward to continued growth as we seek to enhance our processes through better use of technology, building a sustainable platform that delivers market leading service and appropriate funding solutions to our customers and intermediaries.”
