
Stockport Central Library will host a series of workshops in January and February to offer advice and support to those looking to set up a business in borough in 2022.
The town centre library will host the workshops as part of the Build a Business in GM Libraries scheme, which will see libraries across Greater Manchester’s ten boroughs provide targeted support for local residents to set up new businesses. The scheme is funded by a £1.3 million grant from the European Regional Development Fund.
The three workshops will share the basics of running a business, help you understand your market and get your business ready to launch with the support for expert speakers and local SME champions.
The three free workshops being hosted at Stockport’s Central Library are:
Power up Your Business – entrepreneur and business advisor Wendy Breakell will explain the essential ‘nuts and bolts’ of starting up and running a successful enterprise. Tue, 25 January, 09:30 – 16:30.
Know Your Market, Get Competitive – discover how the BIPC’s market research and other resources can boost your start up. Wed, 26 January, 10:00 – 13:00.
Intellectual Property: Protect Your Assets – make sure your product, service, website and brand are protected from would be copycats or do not infringe others’ rights. Wed, 2 February, 10:00 – 13:00.
