Stockport-based insurance brokers, C&C, sponsored the Service Excellence category at the Restaurant Association Gala Dinner and Awards, which took place at the iconic Savoy Hotel, in London.
The prestigious Gala Dinner is a highlight of the year for the hospitality industry, bringing together leading figures to celebrate excellence, innovation, and achievement within the sector.
As part of the evening’s celebrations, the annual gala dinner included the first-ever Restaurant Association Awards to recognise the talent that drives the industry forward.
The event was hosted by Restaurant Association President, Robert Walton MBE, who along with his wife Donna, own Langdon Manor Court, a country house event venue in Devon. Robert is a C&C client, and so the firm was keen to support the inaugural awards ceremony by sponsoring the Service Excellence category.
C&C’s Malcolm Cooke presented Rob Rose, the Culinary Director at Core by Clare Smyth, with his award, as was joined on the evening by colleagues Hiek Sarkissian, Tom O’Connell, Corran Barnes, Andy Middleton and Jack Shawyer.
In addition to the C&C crowd, there were also a host of other well-known faces in the room such as ex Bros boy, Matt Goss; Celebrity Chef Antony Worrall Thompson and TV personality, Vanessa Feltz. Sarah Fabergé of the Fabergé family was also on hand to present the Legend Award to David Loewi of D&D London, along with UK Hospitality Chief, Kate Nicholls OBE.
Malcolm Cooke, Managing Director of C&C Insurance Brokers said:
“The Restaurant Association Awards was a fantastic opportunity to get the C&C name in front of the great and the good of the restaurant and wider hospitality world. This is a growing sector for us and one that we’re keen to develop further, especially across the southern regions. As you’d expect with an event of this nature, especially when held at the Savoy, the service and cuisine were outstanding. We’d like to thank Robert for his hospitality and for the opportunity to become involved in such a prestigious event.”
