
Trafford & Stockport College Group is inviting local businesses to explore how they can make use of virtual reality (VR) technology at an event at its Altrincham campus.
The Virtual Reality in Business Roadshow will take place from 9.30am Friday, 14th June at Trafford College’s Altrincham Campus. Businesses will be able to discover how businesses are harnessing VR technology to advance their business and increase productivity and progress.
Attendees will hear from Keith Myers, an Immersive Artist and Unity 3D Expert, Certified Drone Pilot and Creative Director of AVimmerse. He has produced breathtaking immersive experiences for clients such as the BBC, MANCHESTER INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL, The Wildlife Trusts, NHS, Liverpool John Moores University and Gymshark.
James Crawley, from the Centre for Digital Innovation at Manchester Metropolitan University will explain how your business can access fully funded innovation support, and technical advice for your business. Universities in the CDI Consortium will also share the latest research in digital tech that will be impacting businesses in Greater Manchester.
The event will also explore 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence and other new technologies which can save time, money, and help to reduce the environmental footprint.
The morning’s activities will conclude with a networking lunch from 12.30 to 1.30pm

VR for Business is the latest in a series of events held at Trafford & Stockport College Group as part of the Centre for Digital Innovation (CDI) Roadshow.
The CDI is a consortium of a Greater Manchester University, GM Colleges and industry partners, funded by Innovate UK to create a supercluster of digital expertise to help the region’s businesses achieve their goals through digital innovation.
CDI Roadshow events are coordinated by GM Colleges to bring the insights and opportunities to you, inspiring and enabling change and growth in GM businesses of all sectors and sizes. The latest event at Trafford College’s Altrincham campus follows a February roadshow session at Stockport College discussing AI and digital innovation.
