The Business Growth Hub is hosting a seminar to help SMEs reduce their packaging use and waste.
Optimising Packaging Through Eco-Design from 8am-12pm is being held on April 28 at Hallidays office at the Kings Reach Business Park just off junction one of the M60.
The guest speaker is Mark Hilton from Eunomia Consulting, a aeronautical engineer with a master’s degree in environmental engineering and 32 years’ experience in industry and environmental consultancy.
He specialises in resource efficiency, circular economy, sustainable procurement, product stewardship, eco-design and environmental training and behaviour change.
The UK produces around 10 million tonnes of packaging waste each year. Packaging Eco-Design can minimise overall life cycle impacts of packaging, while maintaining or improving performance and cutting costs.
This workshop will benefit any manufacturer or packaging business that wants to optimise packaging to reduce material use and waste, reduce packaging spend and minimise transport costs.
