Grant available for electric vehicle charge points

As part of the government’s clean initiative, a business grant for electric vehicle charge points is available for businesses through the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS).

The Workplace Charging Scheme is a voucher-based scheme that provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points, for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations.

Workplaces can apply for vouchers using the Workplace Charging Scheme application form

Transport for Greater Manchester – TfGM – can assist with procurement of electronic vehicles – EV’s – for those businesses who might be interested in getting one for their company. Find out more from Faye Drinkwater at TfGM.

The Government are also offering grants to assist with the purchase.

TfGM want to understand the types of vehicles your business currently uses, so that we make sure Greater Manchester is prepared for future demand and infrastructure.  In particular we need to understand your business’ current perceptions, use and expectations of electric vehicles.   Your answers will inform our approach and enable us to provide the most relevant and effective support for businesses and individuals in Greater Manchester.
