The 45,000 square feet Bredbury 25 industrial unit is now fully let, with Benchmark Building Supplies signing a ten-year lease on the remaining units, Place North West has reported.
The builders’ merchant will join precision manufacturer Howco, window supplier Stevenswood, and machinery manufacturer Satake, who also have leased units at Bredbury 25.
The unit in Bredbury will be Benchmark Building Supplies eighth location in Greater Manchester around the M60, and third in Stockport: the company also have branches in Romiley and Marple.
Bredbury 25 is owned by asset management firm, IO, after purchasing the industrial units from Seddon Group in 2018 when they had been built.
The industrial estate had proved popular with local businesses looking to expand, and both Howco and Satake also have other premises in Bredbury. Joint agents Williams Sillitoe reported that Bredbury 25 has achieved record rental levels for the area of £8.50 per square foot.
South Manchester and Stockport’s light industrial property market remains strong. Avison Young, the other letting agent on the scheme, have commented that demand for space is high, however there is a lack of supply, particularly of high-quality, modern units.
Benchmark Building Suppliers will occupy 16,000 square feet across adjacent units at Bredbury 25.
