NK Theatre Arts will be launching a very special award in the memory of legendary patron Bobby Ball who sadly passed away last year. Bobby became a patron of NK back in 1997 after supporting a fundraising event at The Palace Theatre in Manchester and would regularly visit the company and particularly enjoyed watching the young members performing at The Forum Theatre.
The special Bobby Ball award will be given to a young member each year who will be recognised for their comic abilities!
The first presentation of the award will take place this Friday 3rd September when NK Theatre Arts will be performing for the first time together since the start of the pandemic. “To The Stage” will be a celebration of all of the work done by members during lockdown including Musical Theatre, Dance and Drama pieces that will be performed.
Presenting the very first award will be members of Bobby Ball’s family and we are also delighted to be welcoming Bobby’s showbiz partner Tommy Cannon.
Why not join us for a very special evening as we pay tribute to a wonderful Patron and legend of comedy!
