Stockport Council is running bin collections at a reduced capacity to guarantee the welfare and needs of crews and other staff.
While the council and its partners are working closely together to minimise the impact on services of Coronavirus, some changes to bin collections in Stockport are necessary.
Cllr Sheila Bailey, Cabinet Member for Sustainable Stockport said:
The change in the collection schedule will affect residents but with everyone’s co-operation and patience, the Council and Totally Local Company will be able to maintain a service during this very difficult time. Everyone, I’m sure, will join me in thanking our collection crews and all staff involved in trying to keep the bin wagons rolling!”
