Accountants and business advisors Bennett Verby has agreed an exclusive tie-up with a human resources consultancy.
Stockport-based Bennett Verby said the agreement with People Matters and its founder Niel Cope is designed to significantly expand and grow its human resources division as more businesses look to recruit and develop staff in the post-recession economy.
BV Human Resources currently provides a comprehensive range of employment law, health and safety and HR advice to around 100 SMEs and owner managed businesses across the North West.
In the past three months, client numbers have doubled as business owners look once again to invest in their companies and comply with auto enrolment requirements.
The tie-up with Bury-based People Matters – winner of the best loved HR consultancy in the UK in 2013 and 2014 – will enable directors to implement an effective HR strategy in order to develop existing staff and recruit and keep the right people to help grow their business.
Linda Saleh, (pictured left with Niel), heads up BV Human Resources said:
“In a climate of greater confidence and optimism directors are reviewing their business structures and working with us across areas such as succession planning, recognition and reward structures, training and development to support growth.
“Businesses that are looking to recruit need to ensure that this is done effectively. For example, it is imperative that companies have an effective induction process as this if often key to new employees’ success and retention. Recruiting badly could cost your business £20k a year. Over five years that’s £100,000.
“We are also helping companies to comply with their auto-enrolment requirements as well as developing health care and other benefits which allow employers to reward their staff in an innovative way.”
Linda added:
“Niel brings a wealth of HR experience having worked in the public, voluntary and private sectors. He builds excellent relationships with clients by going the extra mile to create positive changes in their business. We are delighted to welcome him on board.”
Niel said:
“I’m delighted to be working with Bennett Verby. Our company’s share the same values of being fair, consistent and putting our clients and their people first. We are passionate about people management and this is a great opportunity to work closely with more businesses across the Greater Manchester area to promote and support them in managing and developing their people as we grow out of the recession together”.
