Stockport based Hallidays, accountants and business advisors, have completed a double fundraiser for their annual charity Beechwood Cancer Care as two team members braved dizzy heights to complete an abseil while their colleagues took to the town’s streets to compete in the BIG event family fun run.
Claire Chandley, (PICTURED LEFT) who has a personal connection with Beechwood, abseiled almost 200ft down the Trafford Centre Tower at Barton Square:
“Beechwood Cancer Care supported my family during my husband’s cancer treatment, so I was delighted when it was selected as Hallidays chosen charity this year. The abseil was a thrilling experience; although I was relieved to reach the ground in safety!! Many thanks to everyone who sponsored me.”
Nicola Coles, Kris Smithies and Hassan Ahsan ran the Life Leisure organised 10km Big Stockport Run, once again a popular event sponsored by Orbit Developments, raising money for the charity with a competition to guess their collective time: a respectable 58 minutes.
Both events together raised around £400 for Beechwood, taking Hallidays fundraising to £1,200 so far.
