350 glamorous guests dug deep and pulled a whopping £40,000 out of the hat when they joined the Beechwood cancer care Through the Looking Glass Ladies Lunch at the Hilton Hotel in Manchester.
The event was sponsored by Brown Shipley Private Banking and Didsbury Magazine with Ambassodor’s Eventures of Urmston turning the room into a stunning Alice in Wonderland themed Through the Looking Glass.
Hosted by Mike Toolan and Trevor Jordan from KEY 103, the room was brought to tears when 14 year old Darcy Stewart told the packed room “when my daddy died my heart broke into a million pieces, I didn’t know what I was going to do, I miss him so much, Beechwood helped me get my confidence back”
Darcy and her sister Konnie 13 have received support from the charity since their dad Erroll passed away from pancreatic cancer.
